A small collective planning work around a table

Choose a team or organization for your next project

Choose the collaboration structure that fits your work, then separate membership, publishing and billing responsibilities.

An informal collective can start with a shared brief and a conversation. As the work grows, you need to know who belongs to the project, who can publish and who pays for shared tools.

Choose the structure for those responsibilities. You do not need another personal account each time you join a collaboration.

Use a team for collaborative work

A project team suits a defined piece of work. A permanent team supports an ongoing collaboration, while a competition-linked team carries participation in an eligible competition.

Invite the intended members and check acceptance before relying on the team list. Set responsibilities and discuss credit or prize sharing in advance. Dexyd does not make automatic split payments between teammates.

Archive a team once its purpose ends. If a competition team will continue, use the available conversion to a permanent team rather than treating an old competition roster as an unrelated new organization.

Create an organization for shared governance

An organization gives you a public identity, member roles and its own plan context. Create it with its name, logo, type, description and location. Review the created profile and add only the members who need access.

The free organization member limit is five. Review the current plan before expanding membership or assuming that you can publish without competition limits. Creating an organization does not grant verification or unlimited quotas.

Choose the organization publishing identity when a permitted action should use its plan. Keep personal publications in the personal context when that is what you intend.

Give members the permissions they need

Owner controls privileged roles, billing and organization deletion. Admin handles operational management and members, with restrictions on assigning Owner, Admin and Billing.

Organizer manages competitions and their submission, result and jury work. Editor prepares content without competition-publication permission. Jury Manager handles jury assignments, Billing manages the subscription, and Jury reviews assigned entries. Viewer and Member do not gain publishing rights from membership alone.

Use those distinctions when sharing work. A content contributor does not need billing access to prepare a brief, and a billing contact does not need permission to choose winners.

Keep the public identity and acting account distinct

Review the author shown before publication. Visitors can see the organization identity while Dexyd retains the account that performed the action in its internal history.

That distinction supports accountability when several members contribute. It also helps resolve a refused action: check the actor role, chosen identity and applicable plan before changing the content or asking someone else to repeat the request.

You can keep a permanent team for collaboration while using an organization for governance. Choose each structure for the work you need, then review membership when responsibilities change.

Read the organization guide and publishing identity guide before your first shared publication.
